About Us
In the beautiful Kickapoo Valley, we're a quaint community that offers you peace and relaxation. Just twenty minutes from Prairie du Chien
We call this place home because it's where our heart belongs Whether fishing on one of two rivers or hiking Wauzeka Bottoms there is always something new happening!
Jackson Foster, Henry Stuckey, and George Schlund were the first three men to settle Wauzeka between 1838-39.
According to our friends over at the Wisconsin Department Of Public Instruction, it is proven that we have one amazing school district. Wauzeka-Steuben School proudly teaches kids from K-12 all about education here in Wauzeka with excellent outcomes and performance levels across each grade level as well!

Wauzeka - "So-called from a Native American chief." Means "pine" or "white pine" from the Ho-Chunk word "wazika". In Potawatomi, "wazika" means "wrinkled".
